Greetings, Everyone!
More people continue to join our group! I'm so excited to see it! I find it incredibly encouraging to read of the desire people have to make a difference and take our country back. Can't wait to tap into some of that enthusiasm! A big welcome to our new members. This week is a busy one for me, but I am hoping to have another meetup to announce to you all by sometime this weekend or early next week. Please be looking for that announcement. This one will involve discussion of a couple of readings. The readings should help us to begin developing a plan concerning how we can make a difference at the local level. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to gather again and to meet many more of you whom I haven't yet had the pleasure to meet In the meantime, I wanted to remind you all of a few opportunities: 1) Our sister group, We the People of the Republic (WTPOTR), meets each Tuesday at 6pm at Quam Engineering, 4893 Larson Beach Road in McFarland. Please feel free to show up at that meeting. Where this group will now begin to focus more on state and local issues, WTPOTR continues to focus on federal issues. Working together and leveraging each other's people, meetings, and events will allow us to be more effective and stay encouraged. 2) Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is holding a sizable event at Veteran's Park on the lakefront in Milwaukee this coming Saturday. Early estimates are that they expect around 10,000 people. AFP is asking people to register for the event so that they can get a more certain idea of numbers. You can register, I believe, at fightbackwisconsin.com. I plan to go. Would love to run into some of you there! That's it for now, but as I said, look for another meetup announcement soon! I attended the WTPOTR meeting last evening. It was nice to have a personal update from the couple who attended the Washington DC Tea Party over the weekend. Great to hear the nation is coming together against the assaults against our Constitution.
The Federal Government is starting the process to stop the funding stream for ACORN. It is time we start contacting our State, County and Local governments to also remove funding from this and all related organizations under the ACORN organizational umbrella. |
