Brilliant…property is the one thing in WI that can’t
move if it gets taxed. So let’s “take pressure off” of
it and put that pressure on things that are mobile – like employees,
employers and where people decide to shop. That’s the key for
keeping jobs and sales in the State!!
Economic illiteracy runs rampant through our newspapers….which
is one reason so many are failing (hey, I’m trying to find a silver
lining here).

This just in from Bob Dohnal. Thought you all should
be aware of this bad proposal that's now been thrown on the table.

Fellow conservatives:
The
Milwaukee Journal today has the newest proposal from the TaxEaters
in this state. Redo
the whole tax system to take pressure off property
taxes. Why? That is the tax that hits everyone
the hardest.
Change
all of this to income, sales taxes and fees.
Trouble is it will
be 25% more when it is done and then two years later they
will all be back
wanting more and the property taxes will again start
creeping up.
Check
the salaries and benefits of this group. Higher than ours, right?
Be
aware of anyone that says that if we shift the taxes we will save.
You cannot lower taxes by raising taxes.
Ask
everyone in the coalition if we adopt this if all of them and their
employees will cut their taxes and bennies by 25%. Listen to them holler.
Why
should public employees make more money and have better sick days,
vacations, pensions, health benefits and many other goodies
than we, the
people have?
That
is the problem.
