Mark Neumann/Sean Haney Vetting Session

Slight change in plans, folks...

The Lee Campaign has had a last minute conflict and will have to reschedule with us.

However, Mark Neumann will still come and will give us a bit more time than originally planned to ask him questions.

Sean Haney, candidate for Dane County Sheriff has also agreed to step in in Chad's absence. So, we'll also have an opportunity to talk with him.

It's still going to be a great double-header event... We'll just look forward to talking with Chad at another session.

The event is open to the public and co-sponsored by our sister group, We the People of the Republic.

For this one evening, in order to accommodate both candidates, we've moved from our usual venue to the UW-Madison campus and pushed the time up a bit.

For full details see the flier posted on our files page, here:

As always, spread the word. Bring your friends, neighbors, relatives. It's imperative that voters inform themselves fully on the candidates running and the options available to them--BEFORE heading into the voting booth.

Come help us vet these two important candidates.

See you there!

Nice room, good questions and a nice opportunity for direct one on one interaction with the candidates

I was able to listen to all of Mark. I think Mark's vision for the future of sustainable energy is very important. Maybe the most important. Accepting that oil is the reality of today does not mean we have to irrationally strangle all of it potential successors in the crib. As a movement, the conservatives will continue to look like paleolithic anti-intellectuals when we thoughtlessly savage solar power like Kirsten did during the session. I feel that we conservatives too often take knee-jerk opposition to "liberal causes", like global warming. Global warming as caused by the burning of fossil fuels is the impetus behind moving from oil to other energy for liberals. What about national security, why fund despots in the mid-east? Why is it that as a conservative I can reject federal spending as a drag on our posterity's future , but if I dare suggest moving from oil as soon as possible for the future of the planet I get accused of being a tree hugging hippy?! Contradiction?

Much better understanding about where Mark Neumann is coming from! Very interesting to discover some of the issues facing the county and the sheriff's department from Sean Haney as mwell!
